Prosecutors indict lawmaker Shin Jung-hoon without detention on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act

The Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office said it has indicted Shin Jung-hoon, a lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Korea, without detention on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.

Rep. Shin is accused of recommending double voting against local residents during the Democratic Party's primary on March 4.

Representative Shin explained directly to the constituents whether they participated in the party's primary telephone survey and told them how the right party members can also vote as ordinary citizens.
