Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said he will spare no support to make Seoul a global fintech hub and a top five financial city in the world.
Mayor Oh attended the 'Seoul Fintech Week 2024' conference today (8th) and said, "I think building infrastructure and nurturing talent to foster the fintech industry are important tasks of the Seoul Metropolitan Government."
The event was a place where experts in the global financial and fintech industries sought the latest trends and future visions of the financial industry, and also discussed ways for Korea to upgrade the fintech industry.
Lee Bok-hyun, head of the Financial Supervisory Service, a co-host organization, said, "We will establish a flexible and stable education system so that new digital technologies can lead to responsible innovation within the financial system."
