A man in his 30s was sentenced to prison for throwing bricks and fire extinguishers on the 13th floor of an apartment building under the delusion that neighbors were gossiping about him.

The Chuncheon District Court sentenced 39-year-old A, who was handed over to trial on charges of attempted special injury and property damage, to a year and a half in prison.

Mr. A was put on trial on April 13 on charges of attempting to injure him by throwing two stones and a brick from the 13th floor toward the parking lot on the first floor because he thought he was gossiping about the apartment residents gathering and talking.

Fortunately, there was no one again, but the back window of the van in the parking lot was broken by a stone thrown by Mr. A.

A committed the crime again, throwing a 2.8-kg fire extinguisher from the 13th floor of the apartment building toward the flower bed at the entrance on the first floor on May 9, a month after being investigated by an investigative agency.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that A was sentenced to two suspended sentences for property damage in the same court last year and this year.

The court explained that the risk of the crime was quite high and that the crime was repeated even after being sentenced to probation for the same crime, and that prison sentences were inevitable.
