At around 1:30 p.m. yesterday (11th), two workers in their 40s fell 10 meters below a new factory construction site in Oedong-eup, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The two were found in cardiac arrest and taken to a hospital, but eventually died.
Police, fire authorities and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident after ordering the suspension of work, believing that the dead workers fell while traveling in a barrel connected to the excavator.
