Discovered a body damaged in the North Korean River...Suspect arrested in Seoul

In connection with a case in which a body believed to be a woman in her early 30s was found damaged in the Bukhangang River in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province, a suspected killer was arrested in Seoul.

Hwacheon Police Station said it caught the woman in the underground road of Ilwon Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul at around 7:10 p.m. today (3rd) after identifying and tracking the suspect that her body may have been damaged after she was killed.

Earlier, at around 2:50 p.m. yesterday (2nd), a report was received that a part of the body had surfaced from the Bukhangang River in front of Hwacheon Gymnasium in Hwacheon-eup.

Police then resumed the search this morning, finding and lifting several more damaged bodies near the dock on the island of crucian carp.
