Gyeonggi Province will provide support to companies that provide "light jobs" to the baby boomers generation.
Light Job refers to flexible jobs that are easily accessible to middle-aged people, and shiny jobs that can shed new light on their value.
The province announced that it will implement the Baby Boomer Light Job Project from next year and has set aside 6.3 billion won in the main budget for next year.
The project will provide 400,000 won per person per month for up to three years as a utility expense to companies in the province that hire baby boomers aged 50 to 64 in light jobs that work 24 to 35 hours a week.
A total of 2,000 people are eligible for support, and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation will be entrusted with the project.
Earlier, the province decided on the number of applicants and business expenses through surveys for companies and baby boomers, policy forums, and expert advice.
