The Navy found two bodies around the hull of the sunken Venus on the 8th.
The inspection confirmed that both were Korean sailors in their 60s who were missing.
[Ko Myung-chul / Jeju Provincial Coast Guard Chief: The depth found is about 92m. As you said, we cannot rule out the possibility of other missing people around us, so we will continue to search.
Ten people are still missing.
The Coast Guard and Navy have deployed 50 ships and nine aircraft to search for additional missing persons.
However, it is difficult to search underwater where divers are deployed due to bad weather such as rain and wind.
[Ko Myung-chul / Jeju Regional Coast Guard Head: Preliminary special warnings are in effect even in the distant sea and the weather is bad. So, we plan to establish and implement a search plan later in consideration of the weather.]
The Navy will deploy underwater search equipment, R.O.V., to expand the scope of the search, while deciding whether to deploy private rescue companies and deep-sea divers, depending on the weather environment.
The Coast Guard will also conduct a night search to find additional missing people.
