[Gyeonggi] Goyang City completes the waterfront deck road of Haengjusanseong Fortress.

Goyang City announced that it has completed the construction of a wooden "Deck Road" along the waterside of Haengju Fortress, where you can walk while enjoying the natural scenery of the Han River.The city of

spent 3.6 billion won on the project from June last year to create a 750m long and 2.2m wide waterfront deck, and explained that it has improved the uncomfortable walking environment by installing barrier-free walking paths for the vulnerable.

city said there are many things to see, including ecological resources such as Janghang Wetland and Daedeok Ecological Park, designated as Ramsar Wetlands at the mouth of the Han River, as well as historical resources such as Haengju Fortress.

The Han River Estuary has been designated as a military protection zone for the past 50 years, but since the withdrawal of military forces, the city has remodeled three barracks that have been neglected and created a rest area for both citizens and tourists to enjoy through maintenance around the patrol road.
