The Gyeonggi provincial government said it is carrying out the support project smoothly, including the production of sound insulation facilities for 46 households in the village of Daeseong-dong, Paju, who are suffering from loudspeaker noise against the South.
Deputy Governor of Administrative Affairs Oh Ho-seok held a meeting with residents of Daesung-dong at Paju Campus of Gyeonggi Future Education today (27th) to check the progress.
The province said it has completed the actual measurement and design of 46 windows in Daesung-dong village houses and will complete all construction by the 27th of next month.
Earlier, since the end of last month, the province has provided 24 temporary accommodations to residents and used them by more than 160 residents, and medical services such as psychological counseling and hearing tests have been provided to 189 residents by using health examination vehicles and mental safety buses.
