Three people killed in toxic gas in Ponsa, Wanju, Jeollabuk-do

At around 1:30 p.m. today (2nd), three people suffocated and collapsed at the wastewater treatment plant in Myeongdeok-ri, Soyang-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do.

Among them, a man in his 60s and a foreign worker in his 30s, representatives of the livestock house, were taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but eventually died.

Fire officials say hydrogen sulfide, a toxic gas, was detected at the scene of the accident.

Police are investigating the accident, believing that the dead were mutilated while trying to save another worker who collapsed while cleaning the wastewater treatment plant.
