The 11th African swine fever occurred this year at a pig farm in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do.
The Central Disaster Management Headquarters for African Swine Fever is first controlling access to the farm and conducting disinfection and epidemiological investigations.
It has also decided to kill more than 5,500 pigs raised on this farm.
In addition, the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters ordered temporary suspension of livestock facilities and vehicles in Yangju City and six adjacent cities and counties until 6 p.m. tomorrow (18th).
