After more than 20 years in the entertainment industry, actress Su-hyun took on a new challenge by playing the lead role of a Korean film for the first time in filmography through the film "The Ordinary Family." The movie "The Ordinary Family," in which he starred, is a suspense piece that shows two couples living with their own beliefs, and everything collapses when they see CCTV footage of their children's crimes.

Ahead of the movie's release, YTN met actor Su-hyun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and had time to talk about various things related to the movie.

This film is his first major Korean film in filmography, and Su-hyun opened the interview with emotion. Su-hyun said, "I'm thrilled to be doing a domestic movie, but I was excited and happy to be with director Huh Jin-ho and reliable Jang Dong-gun, Seol Kyung-gu, and Kim Hee-ae."

He was a long-time fan of director Heo Jin-ho, and said, "Director Heo seems to think that actors know the characters the best. Therefore, he respected the actors' thoughts, listened to the stories, and accepted them. Rather than giving directions, he helped the actors draw out their own acting through questions," he said, expressing satisfaction with his first breath.

In particular, Soo-hyun said, "I'm a style that is difficult to act if I don't understand it personally, but the director helped me a lot to sympathize with and understand the character. It was such a pleasant work that I didn't want to leave the scene because I got courage and ideas at the same time while working with the director," he said, not forgetting his gratitude to director Huh Jin-ho.

Su-hyun, who has been active in various genres, showed her new face in this work as a character who is standing on her feet in reality. What did the character Jisoo, who he drew and played, look like?

Subsequently, Su-hyun expressed her ambition to become an actor who permeates all works well through constant transformation in the future. Su-hyun said, "I appreciate that you remember me as tall, speaking English, and appearing in 'Avengers', but I want to continue acting that is not the same and become an actor who can naturally permeate all works," adding, "I think it's just the beginning because I want to continue acting until I become a grandmother."

He also expressed his desire to portray a new female character that did not exist before. In particular, Soo-hyun said, "If there is a character that many female audiences can sympathize with, I really want to try it. "I want to play a raw character who took everything out of it rather than its external beauty," he said, emphasizing that he would continue his efforts to break the impossible every time and expressing his will not stop the challenge.

The movie "Ordinary Family," where you can see Su-hyun's unique appearance, is scheduled to be released on October 16.
