Kim Jong-jin of the band Spring, Summer, and Winter explained the process of mixing the second album released 35 years ago.
At 4 p.m. today (16th), CJ Azit Gwangheungchang located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, "If My Beautiful Song Can Clean Your Heart" by Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter... (35th Anniversary 2024 MIX)'s music listening session was held to commemorate its release.
On this day, Kim Jong-jin said that he had been working on a mix using original analog tapes for three months, not just remastering, and said, "I did not insist on the past. Through the development of music industry technology, we have made music 35 years ago possible to modernize," he explained.
In particular, he expressed his wish that the newly born album would be a channel of communication between generations. Kim Jong-jin said, "I hope parents and children will be a medium to listen, empathize, and understand each other," and added, "I hope there will be a tradition of sharing and discussing music with the next generation someday."
In addition, Kim Jong-jin recalled the time he worked on the album and added, "In those days when Kim Jong-jin and Jeon Tae-kwan were in their late 20s, they were full of musicians, merchants, and pride," adding, "I wanted to revive that spirit that is now gone."
On the other hand, this album is the second work in the Make-Do-And-Mend series of spring, summer, fall, and winter, and is designed to revive the warm and peaceful sensibilities of the past in the present so that you can enjoy music beyond the times.
In particular, the sound quality of the drama was pursued through three months of mixing work involving Kim Jong-jin in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and the sound extracted from the original analog multi-tape was newly born in conjunction with today's technology.
