Police have arrested a woman in her 20s who threw a cell phone at a 10-month-old child and injured her on a city bus.

On the 26th, the Incheon Seobu Police Station said it has arrested and is investigating Mr. A in his 20s on charges of special injury.

A is accused of injuring a 10-month-old B by throwing a mobile phone on a city bus driving in Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon at around 5:10 p.m. on the 20th.

Ms. B, who was hit in the head by a mobile phone, is being hospitalized for severe injuries such as skull fracture depression and epidural bleeding.

On the 24th, Ms. B's mother said on social media (SNS) threads, "A woman without a face mask threw a cell phone at her baby's head and was seriously injured," adding, "I claimed that I cursed at her even though I didn't know that she was on the same bus."

In this regard, A reportedly told the police, "I tried to throw a mobile phone at B's mother after hearing her mother holding B swear at my parents, but B got hit wrong."

A and B's mother and daughter were found to have met each other for the first time, and A is known to be suffering from mental illness.

A police official said, "We secured a closed-circuit (CC) TV inside the bus to confirm the crime scene," and added, "We will send A to the prosecution soon."
