Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo will launch the world's first laptop equipped with a rollable display in March, Bloomberg reported on the 8th.
Dubbed the "Thinkbook Plus 6th Gen," the rollable laptop reportedly has a base screen of 14 inches and expands to about 17 inches with the screen spread upward when the button is pressed.
The price is 34,499 dollars (about 5.08 million won).
Lenovo announced that it will launch a rollable laptop as a product this year at the world's largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition "CES 2025" held in Las Vegas on the 6th.
Lenovo previously introduced the concept of a rollable laptop for the first time at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, in 2023.
Rollable displays are the concept of rolling and putting the display in normally and unfolding it if necessary.
Lenovo, the world's largest PC manufacturer based in Beijing, China, is revamping its PC lineup with its own AI (artificial intelligence) assistant "AI Now," Microsoft's Copilot software and Intel's latest Core Ultra processor.
Bloomberg said the rollable laptop that he announced this time was also part of the overhaul.
