Kim Jong-un Meets U-20 Winning Team 'Thumbs Up'... 'Joy to the whole country'

North Korean State Councilor Kim Jong-un met with the North Korean national team, who returned home after winning the Under-20 Women's World Cup, and greatly encouraged him, saying it was a patriotic feat that added optimism and joy to the whole country, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

The news agency said Kim made the remarks yesterday by calling the national team to the headquarters of the Labor Party's Central Committee to celebrate and take commemorative photos.

In the photo released, Chairman Kim smiled brightly and even put his thumb up on the players.

Chairman Kim said the precious achievements brought by athletes in the international competition are pushing the people to a more united and energetic path of struggle, and he hopes to further solidify his position.
