National Assembly, Prosecutor Park Sang-yong's impeachment hearing...Warnings of a battle between the ruling and opposition parties

The National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing today (2nd) to investigate the impeachment case of Park Sang-yong, deputy prosecutor at Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, who investigated the alleged remittance to the North.

At the meeting, the ruling party's argument that it is seeking to impeach the opposition party and the Democratic Party's representative Lee Jae-myung, who claimed that there was fabrication and conciliation of the prosecution's statements during the investigation into the remittance to North Korea.

It is the second time that the Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing on the grounds of an incumbent prosecutor's impeachment case, following the impeachment hearing of Kim Young-chul, who led the investigation into Kim Gun-hee's alleged sponsorship of Covana content.
