In the public office, the so-called "serving day" practice in which lower-level government officials kick their own money and serve rice to the bureau and managers remains.

According to the results of a survey on the perception of public officials conducted by Wi Sung-gon, a Democratic Party member of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, 75.7% of the more than 2,500 local officials surveyed said they knew the "day of service."

In particular, more than 5,500 of them said they have experienced the day they serve in person within the last year, or they are still experiencing it, accounting for 44% of the total respondents.

69.2% of local officials in the survey thought negatively of the 'day of service', and 44.7% of them said 'very negative'.More than 2,000 people participated in the optional answer item in the survey, "If you have anything you want to say,

, please feel free to describe it," and there was a series of backlash, such as being burdensome or asking for an audit.
