Dozens of first aid activities were carried out yesterday as a million people flocked to the "Seoul World Fireworks Festival" in Yeouido.

In some cases, people who were working on separate filming at the Han River were misunderstood as visitors to the fireworks festival.

It is the "2024 Seoul International Fireworks Festival" held around Yeouido.

Organizers estimate that more than 1 million people gathered at once, and there were more than 60 fire and emergency activities.

Five people complained of headaches and abdominal pain and were taken to a nearby hospital, while about 50 people complaining of minor abrasions and dizziness were taken at the scene.

In addition, at around 8:05 p.m., the fire started from the launch pad, which fired fireworks, but it did not spread around and was extinguished, causing no damage.

[Fire official: There must have been an unexploded bomb in the barge. After firing, there was a small flame left, so they extinguished it..]

Fire authorities said they have dispatched 330 personnel to Yeouido Hangang Park and Ichon District to respond, and fortunately, there were no major accidents.

Those who were working on separate filming at the Han River were misunderstood as visitors to the fireworks festival.

About 15 minutes before the fireworks festival began, four people, including a modern artist Shin, who was driving a wooden boat on the Han River near Haengju Bridge in Seoul, were rescued.

Shin was driving a wooden boat with a raft of three people in the group connected, and the rescue team believed there was a high risk of the raft overturning and carried out a rescue operation.

The fire authorities viewed it as a visitor to the fireworks festival, but Shin and others countered that they went out for personal filming.

An official from Gimpo Fire Station explained that he misheard the story of "I came to film" at the time of the rescue to the effect of "I came to film the fireworks festival" due to the noise at the scene.

The police checked whether they had a license or not, but decided that there was no violation of the law and gave them a disciplinary action.
