The cumulative number of subscribers to "Incheon I-Pass," a policy to support discounts on public transportation such as buses and subways, has exceeded 200,000.

Since May, the Incheon Metropolitan Government has been implementing an I-pass project in which part of the fare is returned when using public transportation more than 15 times a month in connection with K-pass, a public transportation support project of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The ratio of the refund to the fee is 20% for the general public from 40 to 64, 30% for the youth and the elderly aged 65 or older from 19 to 39, and 53% for the low-income class.

When looking at Incheon I-pass subscribers by age group, young people accounted for the largest number of 61.6%, followed by general 30.8%, low-income people 4.8% and the elderly 2.8%.

The average monthly refund per person from May to July was 17,467 won, which is analyzed to reduce public transportation costs by about 209,000 won annually.
