Prosecutors indict Rep. Lee Sang-sik on charges of "reporting reduced property"

Rep. Lee Sang-sik of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is accused of reducing his assets in the April 10 general elections, has been indicted.


The Suwon District Prosecutors' Office today (7th) handed over lawmaker Lee to trial without detention on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act.

Rep. Lee is accused of reducing his total assets of 9.6 billion won to about 7.3 billion won during the April 10 general election property reporting process.

The prosecution judged that lawmaker Lee reported the value of his spouse's art by lowering the value of more than 4 billion won to 1.78 billion won.
