More than 40,000 Palestinians were killed and 700 Israeli troops were killed in the Gaza War, which began with a surprise attack by Hamas militants on October 7 last year.

Citing Israeli military announcements, foreign media reported on the 7th that it has hit 40,300 Hamas facilities over the past year and removed about 17,000 Hamas and other militant groups.

Separately, Gaza's health ministry said more than 48,800 Palestinians had been killed and more than 97,000 wounded by the 6th.

Gaza's health ministry tally does not confirm whether Hamas militants killed in the fighting are included.

Local media in Israel reported that a total of 728 deaths were reported in the Israeli military over the past year.

More than half of them, 380 were killed in Hamas' surprise attack a year ago, and 346 were killed during ground fighting in Gaza.

Since the outbreak of the Gaza War, more than 13,200 rockets have been launched by Hamas and others toward Israel, of which 5,000 were launched in one day on October 7 last year.

The Israeli military has also claimed to have struck more than 10,000 targets in Lebanon, eliminating more than 800 Hezbollah terrorists.
