The Coast Guard captured a Chinese fishing boat that was secretly catching fish and running away.

A Chinese fishing boat that was running away was caught by the Coast Guard when it was caught illegally fishing in Jeju Island.

A Chinese-registered 250-ton fishing boat, which was operated without permission in waters 96km south of Marado Island, Jeju, was arrested by the Coast Guard at around midnight yesterday (7th).

The Chinese fishing boat was caught about 10 minutes after fleeing when it was caught by the coast guard.

The Coast Guard is strengthening its inspection, believing that illegal fishing by Chinese fishing boats will follow as the banned fishing season has been lifted since last month.
