Lawyer for 'Forging Judgment' Suspicion of Deposit

YTN reported last month that an incumbent lawyer falsified the ruling and lied to his client as if he had won the case.

However, it was argued that the lawyer did not pay to the court after receiving millions of won in remittances from other case clients, saying they needed deposit money.

In front of Yeonsinnae Station in Seoul, where the "Local Housing Association" project, in which residents formed a union to buy land and promote development, was promoted.

Nearly 100 million won was invested in the expectation that a large apartment would be built, but the first shovel has not even been opened for four years.

In 2020, when allegations arose that the business agency inflated the land purchase rate, members filed a lawsuit against the company to return the business expenses.

Lawyer A, who was in charge of the case, was a person who appeared on YTN's report last month and was controversial by showing his client a forged ruling and tricking him into winning the lawsuit.

However, it was argued that there was a problem in the litigation process of the members of the housing union.

Lawyer A received a remittance of 5 million won per person, saying that he needs a deposit to apply for seizure of the assets of the business agent to the members.

However, it was confirmed that the deposit was not paid to the court.

More than 30 members of the union claim the damage.

They are asking their lawyers to return the deposit, but it is not easy to get it back.

[Victim: The account is tied up, the female office worker is not good at work, I want to sell Rolex and give it (money), but the warranty is at home....]

He also says that lawyer A complained after confirming that he had omitted the documents requested by the court or had not properly implemented the court's correction order, and that he was verbally attacked.

[Victim: (The client) can't understand what he's saying, it's usually lower than normal intelligence.... The lawyer was playing a game when he was replacing the explanation.]

Lawyer A lost the first trial and appealed, but did not even appear on the first day of the second trial.

[Victim: He showed up late in a really messy and disheveled state and couldn't even get inside the court....]

Some members who thought that lawyer A's insincere attitude could affect the trial are dismissing the lawyer and demanding the return of the fee.

Lawyer A said he was consulting with the victims when asked by YTN reporters about the alleged negligence of his work, and expressed his position to take responsibility.

[Attorney A: I feel responsible for the wrong parts, and I'm trying to take responsibility, whether it's legal or moral.]

In May, the Seoul Bar Association applied for a disciplinary start in connection with lawyer A's violation of his duty of integrity, and the Korea Bar Association launched an investigation.
