U.S. Media "Hyundai Motor's Georgia plant begins production of electric vehicles...Unofficial Open Event"

It has been reported that Hyundai Motor Group has begun electric vehicle production in earnest at a plant dedicated to electric vehicles under construction in Savannah, Georgia.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution, a local newspaper in Georgia, reported that Hyundai has begun producing electric vehicles at its new plant and that it will be a significant milestone for Georgia to emerge as an EV hub.

The newspaper said that car production began in earnest at the factory early last week, and on the 3rd, a private opening celebration was held with employees gathering.

However, the official completion ceremony is scheduled for early next year, the newspaper said.

Hyundai Motor Group announced its plan to build a sub-banner electric vehicle plant in April 2022 and held a groundbreaking ceremony in October of the same year.
