JMS Jung Myung-seok appeals to '17 years in prison' for 'goddess sexual assault'

The Christian Gospel Mission, JMS President Chung Myung-seok, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison in the second trial for committing another sex crime after sexually assaulting a believer and being released from prison, appealed against the ruling.

Chung submitted an appeal to the Daejeon High Court through his lawyer, and presented legal misunderstandings and misinformation as reasons for appeal.

Earlier, the Daejeon High Court reversed the first trial, which sentenced him to 23 years in prison, and sentenced him to 17 years in prison, accepting Chung's claim of unfair sentencing.

Jeong is suspected of being innocent of committing sexual crimes against three people on Goddess Island for three years and eight months from immediately after his release from prison in February 2018, and two of them sued him for false information.
