The president's office has officially stated that it is not true that Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in Kim Gun-hee's alleged involvement in the nomination, claims that he is close to the president of Yoon Suk Yeol.

The presidential office issued a notification today (8th) under the name of the spokesperson's office, and President Yoon said that high-ranking officials and politicians who visited their homes in early July 2021 and some time later, respectively, brought Myung and met twice.

He explained that the president met the two politicians at their respective homes at the time because they demanded security, and that Myung did not come to his home because he was a separate acquaintance with the president.

He added that the People's Power politician, who saw Mr. Myung come to the president's local campaign rally at the end of the primary, advised him to keep his distance from him, and that President Yoon remembered that he had never exchanged text messages or talked to him on the phone.

At the time, the president also stressed that he was listening to presidential election advice from people with a lot of political experience, and that there was no reason to listen to advice from people who did not know what they were doing.

Earlier, a senior presidential office official also told YTN that Myung visited his home in Seocho-dong with former People's Power representative Lee Joon-seok to help candidate Yoon Suk Yeol during the last presidential election and met him for the first time, but he cut off communication because he said he should be careful around him.

He then emphasized that President Yoon and Myung had no communication at all since he was elected president.Regarding Myung's claim that he/she spoke to Kim during the general election in April,

Also, former lawmaker Kim Young-sun said he/she heard that it was a call in which he/she rejected a request for the first lady to intervene so that he/she could run for a single nomination.
