GPs Destroyed by the Moon administration, 10 Years of Restoration...Why?

It has been confirmed that it takes 10 years and 150 billion won to completely restore our frontline surveillance posts and GPs destroyed by the September 19 inter-Korean military agreement.

North Korea finished in two to three months, and we had a good reason.

In 2018, the two Koreas destroyed 10 front-line surveillance posts and GPs operated within the Demilitarized Zone and emptied them one by one in accordance with the September 19 military agreement.

The number of North Korean GPs decreased from 160 to 150, and the number of our GPs decreased from 78 to 67.

However, immediately after the September 19 military agreement was broken, North Korea began to restore it, built a guard post, and deployed troops and equipment.

After two to three months of work, he completed his work and brought in heavy weapons and went on normal duty.

Our country, which has taken countermeasures, has also revived much of its GP function, but it is expected to take nearly a decade to fully restore it.Unlike North Korea, which only destroyed ground facilities while leaving

The cost of restoring all the destroyed GPs is estimated to be around 150 billion won.

In the meantime, the controversy continued as the verification team reportedly failed to confirm it, unlike the Ministry of National Defense's announcement at the time that the North Korean military even disabled the underground tunnel.Authorities in

County are reportedly planning to operate the newly restored GP as a complex where advanced guard equipment is put in place only when necessary.
