The 'Greenhouse Gas Target Management System' has been reorganized into an absolute system for five years.

The Ministry of Environment has decided to change the "greenhouse gas target management system" for large-scale emission companies to a multi-year absolute system to reduce greenhouse gases.

So far, if the target has been set in a way that sets expected emissions for a particular year, we plan to increase the planned period and the unit of emission capacity to five years so that if the absolute amount is met, the emissions can be carried over or borrowed within the period.

The Ministry of Environment said it has pushed for a reorganization of the "greenhouse gas target management system" in a reasonable direction to reduce the burden on managed companies while achieving the national greenhouse gas reduction goal.

Target management system targets companies with annual average greenhouse gas emissions of more than 50,000 tons and businesses with more than 1.5 million tons.

The government has decided to complete the revision of the related legislation within this year, set a goal to apply the reorganization plan from the second half of next year, and hold a briefing session tomorrow (10th) for companies subject to management.
