After former President Donald Trump exchanged threats of a "nuclear weapon launch button" with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in 2018, Kim called and claimed that he had been offering talks.

At a campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Gyeonggi Province, on the 9th local time, former President Trump said he knew Russian President Putin and knew North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and got along well.

After exchanging nuclear button threats with Chairman Kim Jong-un, he claimed that Kim Jong-un called and asked to meet, so they had a meeting.

After North Korea's nuclear and missile provocations in 2017, there was high-level communication between the two Koreas and the U.S. until the first summit between the U.S. and North Korea was held in Singapore in June 2018, but the phone call between the leaders of the U.S. and North Korea has not been officially confirmed so far.
