Including the Gyeongbokgung Palace wall graffiti incident last year, 45 reports of damage to national heritage were reported from 2015 to August this year.

According to data received by Min Hyung-bae of the Democratic Party of Korea of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee from the National Heritage Administration, 21 historical and 10 treasures. 45 cases of damage were received, including 6 cases of national registered cultural heritage.

By type, there are various cases of damage such as unauthorized development, theft, and damage, including the collapse of roofs, fences, walls, and tiles.

By region, Gyeongbuk had the largest number of cases with 13, and 530 million won was spent over the past decade on restoration costs for damage.
