U.S. media, including the New York Times and CNN, also introduced the world of works projected on Han Kang's "The Vegetarian" and "The Boy Is Coming" and covered the news of the Nobel Prize.

The New York Times said that a writer formed a perspective on human violence in the Gwangju Democratization Movement that he experienced when he was 9 years old and that it has been reflected in his work.

He also reported a review that he had been duly praised as a seer in Korea, and introduced that a writer's award was a surprise in that he was not a Chinese writer Chan Xue, whom gamblers selected as a strong candidate.

CNN said the question of an author's short story "Eurofa" character asking, "What would you do in life if you could do what you wanted?" is projected into a number of author's works.

The Washington Post introduced a review that compared Han Kang's masterpiece, "The Boy Is Coming," to a chorus, and evaluated that the chorus contains people who have lost their families without sin, scholars, and even voices of souls separated from their bodies.

The New York Times recently interpreted the award as a dimension to strengthen diversity, saying that the Swedish Academy has been trying to increase diversity in criticism that there are fewer female winners and winners outside of Europe and North America.

CNN also introduced Han River as the first Korean winner, saying that women are the 18th out of 117 Nobel Prize winners since 1901.
