Gyeonggi Province held a welcoming event for the Gyeonggi-do team that participated in the 17th Paris Paralympics at Dodamso, Suwon (formerly Governor's official residence) today (11th).
More than 30 medalists and leaders, including Yoon Ji-yu (table tennis women's singles and women's doubles silver), Jung Sung-joon (Boccia's individual silver), and Seo Hoon-tae (shooting bronze), attended the event.
The team won three silver medals and six bronze medals at the Paris Paralympics.
According to the relevant ordinance, 7 million won will be given to the silver medal winner and 5 million won for the bronze medal.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon said, "Watching you perform, I was respectful because I thought I had reached the point where I felt the beauty of life through exercise or work," and added, "I would like to say thank you for making the residents feel a lot of things and give them hope and courage with your indomitable determination."
