More than half of U.S. voters want to vote early ahead of next month's U.S. presidential election, according to a poll.

NBC's poll of 1,000 registered voters nationwide from the 4th to the 8th showed that 52% of respondents planned to vote in advance, compared to 44% who said they would vote on the day of the presidential election.

Of the respondents who indicated their intention to vote early, 5% said they had already voted, and 47% said they would vote early in the future.

3% of respondents said they had not yet decided whether to vote in advance or on the day of the presidential election, and 1% said they would not vote at all.

The percentage of respondents who said they would vote in advance is lower than 69% in the 2020 presidential election, but it is up significantly from 33% in 2012 and 40% in 2016.

Among the respondents who have completed early voting or are willing to do so, 57 percent support Vice President Harris, more than the 40 percent approval rating for former President Trump.

Among the respondents who said they would vote on Election Day, 58% said they supported former President Trump, while 37% said they supported Vice President Harris.

In the meantime, in Georgia, face-to-face early voting will begin today and in North Carolina on the 17th.
