Voting is going smoothly in 41 places in Yeonggwang, including here where I am.

In Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, the Democratic Party, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, and the Progressive Party fought a fierce three-way battle in the re-election of the county.

As of 1 p.m., the combined turnout of early voting was 60.6%.

The total number of local voters is 45,200.

Of these, 43% participated in the previous early voting.

It is the highest among the by-elections and has changed the highest pre-voting rate in local elections since the introduction of early voting in 2014.

The Democratic Party of Korea aimed to protect its stronghold, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party aimed at fair competition, and the Progressive Party aimed at winning votes by shouting for a one-party monopoly.

Recent polls show three opposition candidates in a super-contest, making it impossible to predict victory.

Voting is taking place in 14 Gokseong-do, Jeollanam-do, where re-election is held.

Currently, the combined turnout of early voting is 56%.

Both ruling and opposition candidates have emerged as areas attracting attention by making various pledges, including budget bombs.

In the last eight local elections, the final turnout was 70.2% in glory and 74% in Gokseong.
