Authorities have launched an investigation into allegations that retired horses were left alone or illegally slaughtered at an unauthorized facility in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province.

Let's watch it together on the screen.

It is a breeding facility in In-myeon, Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do.

Horses with prominent bones are standing weakly.

The kennels are not properly cared for, and the dead horse carcass is left on the dirt floor.

"Oh, they're so...Oh, I feel so sorry for him."

Animal rights group Beagle Rescue Network claimed that eight of the 23 horses in the breeding facility were left dead, and that live horses were so thin that their ribs were exposed that they were suspected of animal cruelty. The owner of the horse

was quoted as saying that he had not given enough feed due to financial difficulties, including a lawsuit with the landowner over rent, but had no intention of abuse.

Gongju City has ordered the closure of illegal facilities and said it will ask the police to investigate if an on-site investigation confirms further illegalities.

On the other hand, in Cheonan, police have launched an investigation after a report that someone is abusing cats with sticks.

Let's look at it on the screen.

Someone squats down on the side where the mart stand is half covered, holding something like a stick and hitting it.

After a while, a cat runs out like it's running away, but it can't even take a few steps and it turns into a circle.

He's trying to move, but he can't walk properly as if he broke his leg.

The abuse captured on CCTV is said to have taken place for about three hours from around midnight on the 4th.

The Cheonan Seobuk Police Station has received a complaint that someone abused two cats they had at a mart in Seongseong-dong and took a kitten, and is tracking the suspect by checking nearby CCTVs.
