The prosecution, which has been investigating the alleged involvement of Yoon Suk Yeol's wife, Kim Gun-hee, in the manipulation of Deutsche Motors' stock price, held an internal meeting yesterday (16th).

The prosecution is expected to dispose of the case as early as today (17th) after completing an internal review based on the results of yesterday's meeting.

Ahead of the conclusion of the Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation case, the prosecution convened a so-called "red team meeting" to conduct a final verification.

When the
investigation team explained the outline of the case and the direction of the disposition, prosecutors who played the role of the red team pointed out loopholes or questions in the logic.

About 10 insiders, including deputy prosecutors from the Central District Prosecutors' Office and senior prosecutors from the Central District Prosecutors' Office, are said to have participated.

The investigation was re-examined from an external perspective as circumstantial evidence has recently been reported in the media that Kim contacted the market price manipulation group even after the stock price manipulation took place.

The investigation team reportedly believes that there is a lack of evidence to believe that Kim and her mother Choi Eun-soon participated in the stock price manipulation and put weight on closing the case without charge.

The prosecution believes that the situation is different from that of Jeonju Son, who was convicted of aiding and abetting in the appeal trial of stock price manipulators last month, but the case is expected to be handled as early as today.

The prosecution is expected to explain the legitimacy of the disposition, emphasizing that it judged only according to evidence and legal principles at the time of announcing the results of the investigation.

However, as the conclusion is far from the public legal sentiment, there are many repercussions that will continue.
