A former researcher of KT&G has launched a lawsuit against the company demanding a large amount of compensation, saying that he did not receive adequate job-related compensation even after developing a core technology for cigarette-type e-cigarettes.Attending the first hearing in the Daejeon District Court, the plaintiff's lawyer
argued that the defendant did not compensate the plaintiff for completing several employee inventions on internal heated e-cigarettes while in office.

He added that he filed a claim for 100 billion won out of the compensation calculated based on this, saying that the compensation claim is the job invention itself and that it is stipulated in the Invention Promotion Act to compensate for job inventions that have not been patented.

In response, the defendant's attorney refuted that three employee inventions were completed, and the rest of the inventions could not be regarded as succession targets and could not be subject to compensation hearings because they could not be regarded as completed inventions.

He also stressed that the plaintiff and the defendant paid all the invention compensation for the patents completed and filed during the torture contract and should be viewed as a claim against the agreement that they would not file civil or criminal objections or lawsuits.

Earlier, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit against KT&G seeking compensation worth 2.8 trillion won, claiming that it did not receive adequate job-related compensation even after developing a core technology for cigarette-type e-cigarettes.
