Would you believe the game you can play in Saudi Arabia if you can't play it in Korea?

This happens because of the ambiguity of the provisions within the Gaming Industry Act, which have a decisive impact on the rating review.

Gamers have filed an unconstitutional lawsuit against this provision.

Reporter Choi Kwang-hyun covered it.

Murder takes place in an enclosed space.

Gamers listen to the testimony of the suspects and find the real culprit through reasoning.

It is 'New Danganronpa V3', a game that has formed a mania base through fierce brain fight.

It is enjoyed in most countries, including Saudi Arabia, where strict religious doctrines exist, as well as the United States, Germany, and Japan.

But you can't actually meet this game in our country.

The game must be graded by the Game Rating and Administration Committee before its release, and "New Danganronpa v3" was rejected for its brutal appearance of the dead victim and the final punishment scene.

The basis for this is Article 32, Paragraph 2, No. 3 of the Game Industry Act.

It stipulates a ban on the distribution of games that may encourage criminal or copycat psychology by overly describing crimes, violence, and obscenity.

However, criticism of the ambiguity of this provision is growing.

[Lee Chul-woo / Game Lawyer: GTA5 is a game that overstates crime, but it was rated because it was the 4th best-selling game in the world, and the Danganists described it less, but it was rejected because there was a murder before it.]

In the end, the largest constitutional appeal trial ever involving 210,000 game industry workers and users was requested.

This was also controversial in the parliamentary inspection,

[Jin Jong-oh / People's Power Member: What is the level of over-explained, criminal, and imitation psychology?]

The Game Rating and Administration Committee also acknowledged that different people have different results in the area of judgment.

[Seo Tae-gun / Chairman of Game Management: That part is an area of judgment, so it is too much to quantify....]

Regarding this, a constitutional petition has been filed, so we will follow the Constitutional Court's judgment.

Amid criticism that the game industry law does not reflect the trend of the times, the Constitutional Court's judgment is drawing attention.
