Government to "announce K-rail to Latin America" Peru and El Salvador Railway Project

The government supports the railway project in Peru and El Salvador, which is expanding transportation infrastructure.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport decided to hold a report on the commencement of international development cooperation projects and ODA projects in Peru tomorrow (30th) and El Salvador on the 1st of next month with the National Railroad Corporation, Dohwa Engineering, and Dongmyeong Technology Corporation.

Peru is the most active place for domestic companies to enter infrastructure among Latin American countries, and domestic companies have participated in the construction of a new airport worth 700 billion won and have conducted ODA cooperation mainly in the transportation sector.

This year, the government will support the 'Visibility Study on the Construction of the Friendship Airport Railroad' in Peru as an ODA cooperation project.

In addition, El Salvador is promoting the first ODA cooperation project, the El Salvador Pacific Railway Feasibility Study.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it plans to increase the possibility of domestic companies participating in the main project, as the El Salvador government has requested Korea's cooperation to conduct a feasibility study.
