China's Xiaomi has unveiled a supercar class electric vehicle with a performance of up to 350 kilometers per hour, local media reported.
Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun said at a new product launch event held on the 29th local time that he will introduce the electric vehicle "SU7 Ultra" and start pre-orders.
Lei Jun explained that the new car, which will be officially released in March next year, will reach 100km/h in a stationary state, with a design maximum of 350km/h in 1.98 seconds.
It also boasted that it is "the fastest four-door mass production car in the world right now," surpassing the Porsche Taycan Turbo at speed and top speed.
The pre-sale price is 814,900 yuan and 157.8 million won in Korean money, the same price as Tesla Model S Plaid in China.
Reijun said deliveries of its electric vehicles exceeded 10,000 within three months of its launch, and its goal is to deliver 120,000 vehicles annually.
