A case of mutant M.Fox infection spreading in Africa has also been confirmed in the UK.

According to Reuters, the UK Health and Safety Agency said the first case of M.Fox sub-system type 1b (clade 1b) infection was confirmed on the 30th local time.

The patient showed flu-like symptoms shortly after returning to the UK on the 21st after visiting countries with recent outbreaks in Africa.

Since then, as symptoms worsened, he has been examined in the emergency room and has been taken to a severely infected ward at a London hospital for treatment.

The UK Health Security Agency said it was conducting an epidemiological investigation of people who had come into contact with patients and would be vaccinated with tests as needed, but said the risk of spreading the infection in the UK remained low.

M.Fox 1b is a new variant of the M.Fox virus with a high fatality rate and high transmission speed, and the World Health Organization declared an international public health emergency in August after the sub-system spread around Africa this year.
