Tesla Inc TSLA CEO Elon Musk has purchased several mansions in Austin, Texas, to live with his 11 children, the New York Times reported.
Musk has reportedly told acquaintances around him in recent months that he wants to live close to all of his children.
To that end, he spent $35 million (about 48.3 billion won) to purchase two mansions in Austin, and he is staying in another house close to these mansions, the New York Times said.
Currently, Shivon Gillis, an executive at the Musk-founded Neuralink and who gave birth to three of Musk's children, is said to live in one of these mansions with his children.
But ex-girlfriend Grimes, who had Musk's three other children, is in a legal battle with Musk over child custody and is reportedly not living in Musk's Austin mansion.
In addition, Musk's five children with his first wife, author Justin Wilson, live elsewhere, and Musk has been feuding with Vivien Jenna Wilson, 20, who switched gender from male to female.
The New York Times predicted that Musk, who has repeatedly expressed concern about a global population decline, could increase his children further by donating sperm.
According to Walter Isaacson's biography "Elon Musk," published in September last year, Musk recommended giving birth to Gillis, a Neuralink executive, saying he would donate his sperm, and when Gillis agreed, he gave birth to male and female twins through in vitro fertilization.
Musk reportedly had a third child with Gillies this year, which Musk confirmed to the New York Post in June was true.
The New York Times said Musk once offered to donate his sperm to Nicole Shanahan, the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who was rumored to have an affair.
