Cho Kyung-tae, a member of the People's Power, said it is correct to start an audit of the party's affairs over the disclosure of the phone call voice that alleged that President Yoon Suk Yeol intervened in the nomination during the June 2022 by-elections.
Rep. Cho met with reporters at the National Assembly and answered the question when asked if he thought the party needed to check the facts on the related allegations.
He then stressed that he is willing to request a party audit himself if necessary as a senior party member.
He also added that although the voice file released by the Democratic Party of Korea does not seem to be a good news to the public, it would be good to watch the results of the investigation by Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the alleged intervention of the nomination.
