First of all, the presidential office said that at the time of Yoon Suk Yeol, the president-elect had never received a report on the nomination from the People's Power Nomination Management Committee, nor had he ordered the nomination.

At that time, the nomination decision makers were Lee Joon-seok, the party leader, and Yoon Sang-hyun, the chairman of the nomination management committee.

He also explained that the phone conversation between President Yoon and Myung, which was disclosed by the Democratic Party, was not particularly important enough to remember. The president's office explains that

kept talking about nominating Kim Young-sun, so he was just saying good things.

The presidential office also said that the party decided to strategically nominate all regions except Jeju Island at the time, adding that Kim Young-sun was the most competitive candidate, and as a result, Kim was elected by an overwhelming margin of votes.

Lee Joon-seok, then leader of the party, also recently explained on Facebook that there was no problem with the decision on the strategic nomination at the top, adding that there was no problem.

Meanwhile, President Yoon held an emergency luncheon meeting with about 10 key aides, including Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok and Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Hong Cheol-ho, today.

It is said that they shared the contents of the phone call with President Yoon and Myung while eating at Pinegrass, an outdoor garden restaurant in Yongsan, and discussed future countermeasures.
It is known that President Yoon said at the meeting that he did not remember the fact or contents of the phone call with Myung.

A senior official from the presidential office who attended the luncheon said in a phone call with YTN that the day before the inauguration, there were more than 100 congratulatory calls, and among them, Myung seemed to be one.

In an explanation on the 8th, he said that he remembered that he had not spoken to Myung since the primary, and that he remembered that because he had long since broken up the relationship and had not communicated since then.
