The Seoul Metropolitan Government has set aside 48.407 trillion won for next year's budget, up 5% from the previous year.

It is the largest budget ever, and the city explained that it has responded to population changes such as low birth rate and aging, and focused on budgets for civic health and safety.

The top priority of next year's Seoul city budget is low birth rate measures.

KRW 1.1 trillion will be invested in public rental for newlyweds, young people, and monthly rent support for homeless children, such as "My House in advance," which benefits the more they give birth to children.

Support for childbirth and childcare costs to continue hopes of rebounding low birth rate in 12 years,

The budget for creating a work-family balance environment focusing on self-employed businesses, small business owners, and employees of small and medium-sized enterprises has also doubled.

[Oh Se-hoon / Seoul Mayor: Next year, we will make bolder investments (in childbirth and childcare). Through this, we promise to help young people decide to marry and have children, and to be a strong parenting support group for fathers and mothers.

The civil health and safety budget has also been greatly expanded.

It will expand sports spaces and convenience facilities in subway stations, repair 10 rivers and Dulle-gil in the city, and increase health-related festivals.

The 'Seoul Table' and retraining budget have also been newly established for supporting and hiding citizens and for the elderly.

Fire extinguishing facilities and light fire engines will be introduced, safety bells and CCTVs will be expanded in relation to electric vehicle fire response,

The budget for research and development of small and medium-sized enterprises and startups, as well as financial and management support for small businesses, has also increased.

Daesimdo rainwater drainage tunnels, climate cards, renewable heat facilities support, and veterans' budgets for merit have also been expanded.

[Sehun Oh / Mayor of Seoul: We will actively invest in the health and safety of citizens and the future of Seoul, but we will continue to reduce the city's debt (as we do now) so that the current investment does not become a burden to future generations]

The Seoul Metropolitan Government was not affected by the government's all-time tax deficit, so it set up the largest budget ever. This is because

was not originally subject to local grant tax, and grants to each district office will also be paid 4.2881 trillion won, up 2.8% and 116.4 billion won from the previous year.
