What would happen if there were a combination of major disasters in Jeju?

As it is an island, there must be a limit to the firepower that can be mobilized.

Assuming this situation, a large-scale training was held in Jeju to mobilize firefighting forces from other regions.Reporter

"Mayday, Mayday. Emergency landing will be carried out due to right engine fire."

Smoke rises from an airliner that made a crash landing at an airport in Jeju.Firefighters who were called

rush to open the door of the plane and rescue passengers.

Fire trucks are constantly spraying water to prevent the plane from exploding.

This is a training situation assuming that a passenger plane heading to Jeju made an emergency landing at an airport in Jeju due to an engine fire.

It is a setting in which fire authorities respond for three days to complex disasters such as the forest fire of Hallasan Mountain and the collapse of buildings caused by falling engines and debris during the crash landing process.

It reminded me of the actual battle, including the mobilization of civil aircraft.

The training was the largest ever for an island region, with more than 60 organizations and 1,000 people from the private and public forces attending.

In particular, firefighters and special fire trucks from other regions such as Gwangju, Busan, and Gyeongnam were dispatched to Jeju.

As island areas such as Jeju have limitations in their own firepower, they trained the process of quickly mobilizing firepower to the island using military transport planes and landing ships.

[Heo Sung-gon / Fire Commissioner: It was a training exercise that confirmed that there was no problem with mobilizing firefighters and special fire vehicles from all over the country using air force transport aircraft, naval landing ships and civilian ships]

Flights are the main means of transportation to and from other areas, and Jeju Island, which is visited by many tourists, is even more meaningful in this training.

[Younghoon Oh / Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province: It is meaningful because it is the first training session in which the government has fully mobilized all resources to respond, and I think it has sent enough messages to ensure the safety of more than 15 million domestic and foreign tourists visiting Jeju Island]

This training demonstrated the ability to overcome the limitations of disaster response in the island region and establish an organic disaster response system nationwide through cooperation between institutions and regions.
