The Busan Metropolitan Government held the 20th Busan Future Innovation Conference presided over by Mayor Park Hyung-joon and announced that it has come up with a policy to make Lee Gi-dae Art Park a landmark.
At the meeting, the Busan Metropolitan Government proposed a plan to create Igidae Park, located in the marine tourism district leading to Haeundae, Gwangalli, and Bukhang, as a world-class art park that encompasses nature, ecology, culture, and tourism.The city of
has completed the compensation process for 710,000 square meters of private land in Igidae Park since 2019, and in September, it was repurposed from a waterfront park to a neighborhood park, laying the groundwork for the creation of an art park.
Mayor Park said, "We will reflect the opinions of experts from all walks of life and make it the largest art park in Korea based on the natural scenery."
