Russian forces have struck Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine, killing one person and injuring more than 30 others, local media reported.
Local authorities say two ballistic missiles flew into Kharkiv at around 4 p.m. local time on the 1st, destroying a police station building and more than 10 private homes.
He also said one police officer was killed and about 30 others were injured.
Ukraine's military says Russian forces have flown 2,023 offensive drones in the past month, the most since the start of the war.
Russian forces have recently been speeding up their advance on the eastern frontline centered on Donetsk province, with near-daily airstrikes in the capital Kyiv and the second city of Kharkiv.
Russia's Defense Ministry said it attacked the drone command center of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces this week.
Earlier, the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, claimed that he attacked the Ukrainian military drone command center on the 30th of last month in retaliation for an airstrike on a military school in Chechnya Gudermes.
It said it had intercepted a Ukrainian military conversation that said nine people had been killed and 17 wounded in the attack.
