Let's go to the U.S. presidential race state, North Carolina, which is a Sun Belt battleground and a one-percentage-point race.

Ahead of the end of face-to-face early voting, voters are choosing leaders to take responsibility for the future of the United States over key issues such as democratic values and the economy.

Correspondent Hong Sang-hee reports on the votes at the North Carolina site three days before the presidential election.

This is a face-to-face early voting center in Durham County, North Carolina.

Voters have been visiting since early hours, a day before the end of face-to-face early voting.

[Nancy Mayer / Democratic U.S. Election Observer: Not only are we seeing a lot more people on the ballot, but we're seeing a really high participation rate, with more than half of Durham County already voting.]

The opinions of North Carolina voters who have finished voting are as intense as the competition here between Vice President Harris and former President Trump.

[Larry / Harris Support] It is very important for us to participate in international affairs and support our allies. Of course, women's birth health care is also very important.]

[Lisa/Harris Support] (Harris) will be strong and wise in dealing with climate change, the environment and disaster response.]

[Dina Nath / Trump supporter] Trump is a businessman and knows how to run the country like a business. I think we're going to get rid of wasteful spending, we're going to get rid of North Carolina government spending, we're going to be good at foreign policy.

[Larry Liu / Trump supporter] Trump strengthened the border, reduced taxes, and sent illegal immigrants back to their homes. Everything is for the American people. Kamala Harris is a socialist.]

North Carolina has been considered a Republican-dominated region won by Republican candidates in the U.S. presidential election since 1980, except for President Barack Obama's election in 2008.

But in September, voters began to falter when Republican gubernatorial candidate Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson's previous Black Nazi remarks calling for slavery to be revived were revealed.

Complaints against the Biden and Harris governments are also growing due to the hurricane "Hurlin" damage, which hit North Carolina intensively and caused the most damage since Katrina in 2005.

The fact that there are many conservative Christians who support Trump in most of the suburbs and rural areas, except in large cities such as Durham County around Duke University, also makes it difficult to predict victory or defeat easily.

Seven competing states, including North Carolina, hold the key to determining the outcome of the presidential election.

CNN polls show that Harris and Trump's approval ratings in North Carolina are 1 percentage point apart, making it a point where no one can guarantee victory or defeat.

Notably, 16 electors, the second-most after Pennsylvania, are at stake, making it a strategic location for both candidates to back down.

The pre-face-to-face vote here in North Carolina will run until tomorrow local time. The criteria for choosing between

{Democratic values or economics' voters were different, but the desire to make a better America was the same.
